Kamil Ugurbil, PhD Receives Medical School Publication Award

The Wall is located on the 2nd Floor of the Phillips-Wangensteen Building near Freshii and the Bio-Medical Library.

On October 23, 2014, Kamil Ugurbil, Ph.D., Director of the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, became one of 23 inaugural honorees on the Medical School Wall of Scholarship. The Wall of Scholarship highlights the work of current faculty members with a primary appointment in the UMN Medical School who have first or last author credits on a publication that has been cited at least 1000 times by two of three citation indices. Dr. Ugurbil's July 1, 1992 paper, entitled "Intrinsic signal changes accompanying sensory stimulation: Functional brain mapping with magnetic resonance imaging" published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America has been cited over 1,000 times.
