The clock is approximately 8-9 minutes slow. I have talked with Siemens and will try and adjust the clock tomorrow. In the meantime please be conscientious to finish your scans and have the 3T room ready for the next group to use when your time is up. The clock on DREI displays a correct time in case you are unsure. I'll try and resolve this tomorrow. Let me know if anyone has any questions. The goal is to provide acquisition and analysis support for labs starting neuroimaging research or expanding their toolboxes to include more advanced techniques. We're looking to hire someone with a PhD and experience in both ends of the imaging business (acquisition and analysis), who is interested in this as an alternative to the post-doctoral training / PI track. Anybody who is interested in the job can contact me (caolman at umn.edu) with questions, or visit the University of Minnesota Jobs website to start the application process: http://employment.umn.edu/applicants/Central?quickFind=68762. We all need to be aware of this, and to continue to take extra precautions to safeguard ourselves and our facility. Therefore, I would like to remind everyone to: 1) Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the building. 2) If you see someone you do not recognize, ask them if they need assistance. If appropriate, escort them to the receptionist or the door. 3) Visitors must be accompanied by authorized personnel and met at the receptionist's desk, where they must sign in. 4) Visitors must be accompanied by authorized personnel at all times, evenings and weekends included. 5) Keep all doors locked and closed. 6) Report anyone exhibiting unusual interest in the facility, procedures that are not relevant to their current activity. If you feel uncomfortable, call 911. Working off of the building-access list that Cindy just collected (100+ people), I'm going to start removing from the 3T database people who are no longer actively involved with scanning. IF, in the next few weeks, you suddenly discover that you do not have access to the 3T scheduling calendar, this means I have inadvertently removed you. Email me (cheryl at cmrr.umn.edu, with "3T Database" in the title of the email) your x.500, the name of your PI, and the #s for the protocols to which you should have access, and I'll reinstate you immediately. IF you anticipate a problem (e.g. you are responsible for scheduling studies, but are not a certified operator and don't have CMRR building access), email me now (cheryl at cmrr.umn.edu, with "3T Database" in the title of the email, your x.500, PI & protocol #s) and I'll put you on the "keepers" list. Thanks for your help with this, Cheryl
