The Mind Institute
The Center for Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR) is funded by The MIND Institute as part of a research consortium involving several imaging laboratories in the United States, including University of Minnesota, Harvard University, University of Iowa, University of New Mexico and National Institutes of Health. The goal of this consortium is the development and use of advanced imaging methodologies to understand normal brain function, and mechanisms and treatment of mental illnesses.
The leaders for this effort a the University of Minnesota are Dr. Kamil Ugurbil, Director of the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research at the University of Minnesota and Dr. Apostolos Georgopoulos, Director of the Brain Sciences Center at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
