About the Job

Position Summary
Provides professional research and nursing services for diagnostic and research projects, studies, and clinical support of the joint Department of Radiology and greater Medical School clinical and research objectives.  This may involve participation in identification of lab resource needs and related cost estimates, serving as liaison to outside labs, and advising on measures to ensure quality control.  In addition, some of these projects require high-level coordination assistance. Namely, the demands for both coordination and communication, with the subjects themselves and their clinical care teams during recruitment (physicians, personnel at nursing homes, families), require specialized clinical expertise that generally is not necessary in the coordination of studies with healthy adult subjects or coordination of studies that do not involve complex metabolic interventions during the MRI scan.

This role will play a vital role at connecting the logistical/coordination duties that are needed to allow for free flowing research to come into CMRR / CCIR from external users both with the Department of Radiology and throughout the University; acting as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.

Position will primarily work independently with day to day activities; and report to the Lead Nurse/Study Coordinator in CMRR.  This position could include potential supervision and management of a new coordinated research core within CMRR that will act as the outreach liaison for CMRR with other constituents both internal and external to the University.
