Russell Lagore is an radiofrequency (RF) engineer with the Center for Magnetic Resonance Reseach at the University of Minnesota. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering in 2010 and his MS in Biomedical Engineering in 2013 at the University of Alberta. During his undergraduate studies, he worked on RF design for aviation communication, navigation, and surveillance systems for NAV Canada. During his final year, he specialized in RF circuits and communication systems. Upon graduation, he began working for the Department of Radiology at the University of Alberta as a research assistant, during which time he studied the effects of strong magnetic fields on the noise figure of preamplifiers used in MRI. His area of research during his graduate studies was RF hardware in high field (4.7T) MRI.
