CMRR awarded first wave of BRAIN (Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Technologies) initiative funding
Professors Mike Garwood, Tommy Vaughan and Wei Chen were awarded $2.5M on September 30, 2014 to develop new MRI technology. These advances show great promise to broaden and deepen the application of MRI technology.
WSJ: Another of the first grants, of $394,000, will go to the University of Minnesota for work toward creating a smaller, portable brain scanner less cumbersome than existing magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI, technology.
